Privacy Policy for Orbitfire
Orbitfire is a single-player arcade game. It has no accounts, no sign-in, and no social features. I do not collect, store or receive any personal information about you. The only data that leaves your device is collected by Google's advertising service, and this page explains exactly what that is.
What stays on your device
The game saves a small amount of progress locally, using Android's standard app storage. It never leaves your phone, it is not backed up to me, and uninstalling the app deletes it:
- Highest level unlocked
- Best score
- Total targets destroyed
- Whether sound is on
- Whether vibration is on
That is the complete list. There is nothing else.
Advertising
Orbitfire shows ads through Google AdMob, and this is the only part of the app that sends anything anywhere. There are two places an ad can appear: a full-screen ad between levels, and an optional ad you choose to watch in exchange for an in-game boost. There are no ads during play.
To serve those ads, Google may collect and process:
- Your device's advertising ID — a resettable identifier Android provides for this purpose
- Device information such as model, operating system version and language
- Your IP address, and the approximate location derived from it
- Whether an ad was shown, viewed or tapped
This is collected by Google, not by me. I never see it, and I receive nothing beyond anonymous aggregate counts of how many ads were shown.
Google uses this data to select ads and to measure them, which may include personalised advertising depending on your consent and your device settings. Google's own policies govern what happens to it:
Your choices about ads
If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, the app shows you a consent form the first time it runs, and your answer decides whether ads are personalised. You can change that answer at any time from the app's settings.
Anywhere in the world, Android itself gives you control. In Settings → Privacy → Ads you can reset your advertising ID, which disconnects it from everything previously associated with it, or delete it entirely, which stops apps receiving one at all.
Permissions
Orbitfire requests no runtime permissions. It does not ask for your camera, microphone, contacts, files, or precise location, and it cannot access them. Two permissions are declared automatically by the Google Mobile Ads library and are used only for advertising: internet access, and access to the advertising ID.
Children
Orbitfire is not directed at children under 13, and I do not knowingly collect any information from them. If you believe a child has provided information through this app, please contact me at the address below and I will look into it.
Data I hold about you
None. Because I collect nothing and store nothing on a server, there is no account to close, no export to request and no records to delete. Everything the game knows about you is on your own device, and uninstalling removes it. Requests about data held by Google should go to Google, using the links above.
Changes to this policy
If the app's data practices change, this page will be updated and the date at the top will change with it. Material changes will also be noted in the app's release notes on Google Play.
